Buckhorn 5/21/2016

Post by straightaway »

Those that stayed home afraid of the weather missed out. Not a drop during any of the 3 events. The winds made things a little sporty though. When was the last time there was a shoot in NC without wind???

A decent crowd showed up to shoot with 18 for singles, 15 for handicap and 13 for doubles. The resident porch sitter even came out to play, saying something about needing targets so he doesn't get penalized at the State Shoot......... Darvin showed up to knock off some of the rust. After he shot the singles and caps he figured out he had Donna's barrel on his P gun. He was shooting right in front of me and I don't know what that thing is choked, but, the ones he hit (most of them) just disappeared, no chips, no chunks or even smoke, just gone.

Most of the faithful were there loading traps, scoring, squadding, cashiering and taking care of all the details that get taken for granted. A big THANK YOU to all. Kupcake Karole took care of the Kitchen duties while Granny Jeri was in Ohio getting her sister married off. We had beef stroganoff and strawberry/blueberry cake stuff to top it off (delicious)!
