It was a hot one this week. Temperatures were in the mid 80’s but felt like 90’s with the sun beating down on us. Apparently the heat brings out the shooters at Low Country. We had a total of 16 shooters compete yesterday. Would have been 19 but 3 shooters had to leave because we started late due to a mechanical issue with our trap machine. It took a while to remedy but we got it going again and the targets looked great. Pat Childers took Top Gun this week with a 48. Runner up was a tie with Wayne Averill and Harold Smith both breaking 46. Bill Boston came in third with a 45. Mike Ciccolella was fourth breaking 40. Next was Justin Gibbons with a 39, followed by a pair of 37’s shot by Larry Dudley and Nate Lipsen. Charlie Bertrand, Rob Jerome, Deb Lipsen, Ned Marlowe and Paul Miraglia also competed. Ned’s son Dax Marlowe and new member William Aman shot with us also.

Just a reminder, all are welcome to participate in the Big 50. ATA membership is not a requirement.

THE NEXT BIG 50 WILL BE SHOT ON WEDNESDAY June 1st AT 1:00 P.M.

We had 9 shooters compete for Top Gun in the Big 50 on May 11th. Justin Gibbons topped all shooters that day blasting a 48 for the high score. Runner up was a tie with Rich Savitsky and Harold Smith both breaking 41. Paul Miraglia was third with a nice 36 and Frank Harris was one target back with a 35 for fourth. Ned Marlowe, Nate Lipsen, Charlie Bertrand and Fred Truelove also competed.

This week we had 6 regulars and 1 guest shooter competing. Pat Childers shot the high score turning in a 42. Runner up was a tie shared by Mike Anselmo and our guest Alan Hemer. They both broke 40. Third goes to Larry Dudley with a 39 and Harold Smith took fourth with a 36. Terry Lewis (Great to see you back shooting again Terry), Charlie Bertrand and Heyward Lowry also competed this week. Conditions were very good. Overcast skies with very little wind and no rain. Temperatures were in the low 70’s. Really pleasant!
