Rockingham held their monthly shoot Saturday the 10th of September. The weather was great with a few breezes flowing during the competition. We had a few new faces with Randy “Boone” Jones making the trip and the VA boys Rance Boyd and Harold Newby. Daniel Emory slid up from Durham to shoot with us and we appreciate him attending.....
The singles cranked up and when the dust settled Daniel Emory and Steve Morgan tied with 98’s. After lunch the handicap cranked up and Lane Murray and Tommy Brown tied with 94’s. They settled it with a shoot off and Lane nipped Tommy by one bird. Rance Boyd dialed in on the second 50 of the doubles and won the event with a 91. Tommy and Rance tied for HOA with 278’s.
Thanks to Lewis and Ronnie for scoring and Dave Slaydon and Jim Roland for helping out with the loading etc.
Rockingham shoots Sunday the 11th and the event begins at 2PM. The club picnic will crank up at 5pm and not sure what all they will be having to eat….
