What a beautiful day for shooting, clear skies, minimal wind and comfortable temps.

The resident "grumpy old man in training" elected not to shoot, instead he sat on the porch and was barking orders at the rest of us...his knee is healing nicely and should be in shape for him to try it out for a few events at the Dogwood in a couple of weeks.

There were good scores shot in all events. A good crowd showed up to play and everyone had an enjoyable time of it. Among them were 11 sub juniors that show great promise for the future. It's great to see these kids on the line and see the wonderful support they're getting from their parents. Now, if only we could get the parents shooting too.........Young Taylor Horner shot Jeri's Kolar for the back half of the doubles and did very well with it. We tried to convince her dad that she needs one like it. I happen to know that there are a couple sets of O/U barrels in the white at the Kolar factory in Racine.......

The faithful were out in force, setting targets, loading traps, scoring, cleaning up, cashiering, logging scores and everything moved like clockwork. We had 36 for singles, 29 for handicap and 20 for doubles. With that, we were done shortly after 3:00 and had folks on the road home well before 4:00.

Let's see what happened
