November 12th Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Great weekend in North Carolina weather wise with a bit of wind Saturday and nice on Sunday. Buckhorn hosted their Toys for Tots shoot Sunday and I am looking forward to their shoot report and pictures.

It looks like Low Country is back in business and the NCTA shoot calendar is filling up with 2019 shoot dates. Here is the link to the calendar - http://nctrap.com/shoots2017.pdf

The Autumn Grand is in the record books and Harlan won both the HOA – HAA and the doubles title. He tied a C Class young lady with 100 in the dubs and he took champ after the shoot off. Hunter Hayes won the singles with a 200 and might have shoot off against Stacy Rehor.. Here is the link to the scores - http://shootscoreboard.com/menu.cfm?shootid=725

Shamrock leathers is celebrating 50 years in business this year. I believe there will be an article in Trap & Field soon and I am interested in how they got their start.

I ordered a device to transfer photo slides to digital Saturday. I have maybe 50 slides to convert to digital. I have pictures from Pinehurst, Piedmont Gun Club, Spartanburg Gun Club, Jack King, George Hopkins, Buckhorn Gun Club, Elizabeth House, Tommy Freeman and Lord knows who else is on those slides. Some go back to the 60’s and I believe there is a slide of Punkin Flock.

Earl is the 4th shooter with the big smile....

I just got word from Ken Duncan that Earl Scripture passed away Sunday. No details at this time with more info to come.....Please pray for his family at this time......

Have a great week everybody and hopefully it wont get too cold too quick. Hello to Lou, Hap, Scott, Ronnie and Anne and until next week……………………….Smokem
