January 20th Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Good morning folks and I hope you are looking forward to a productive week. Not much going on over the weekend except for a Memorial shoot at the Buckhorn Gun Club.

The calendar is slowly filling up with shoots and hopefully all NC clubs will be listing all their registered events very soon. One note and that is regarding the cancellation of a shoot. The ATA and the NCTA needs to be notified about the event. To be safe please let me know or Marty Hill know so that we can post it on Facebook or on this site. Just as a courtesy and so that nobody shows up at a shoot and there is not an event….Right Dan Johnson?

As many of you know Andrew Carroll passed away and in lieu of a regular service they held a memorial shoot at the Buckhorn Gun Club. They had a 50-bird shoot with friends and family and the kind of food he liked to eat. A table was prepared with memorabilia and a picture board that Karole Miller prepared with some pictures supplied by me. Dan Johnson wrote a great piece about the event and you owe it yourself to take a look. He will be missed and that is a fact.

Not sure what is going to go on in Virginia at the Capital, but I hope everybody keeps a cool head. What is happening in VA looks like a test run for other states to test the 2A. Not sure what they think to gain from all the gun laws other than to disarm the populace.

That is about it for now and it looks like a little cooler weather for a couple of days. I know the ski slopes are enjoying the cooler temps and the cams at http://www.resortcams.com prove it. Hello to Lou, Scott, Lewis, Ronnie, Cowboy and Anne and until next week…………..smokem
