I would say a slim crowd showed up to shoot trap this morning, but slim and trapshooting usually don't go together. The weather was cooler than it has been and a little windy. It was cool enought that I didn't break a sweat. Mac Herring came up from Clinton to help with the shoot and ended up winning singles with a 92. Marty Hill who just got back from the Grand was a late entry in caps and won them with a 90. Nobody wanted to shoot doubles. Thanks to Al Mazza and Greg High for scoring. I would like to take this time to congratulate George Brown who ended up being the Veteran Runnerup in the Champion of Champions Shoot at Sparta. George shot a 99 in the event and then ran two boxes in the shoot off to beat a group of 7 veterans that included Ray Stafford and Steve Hawkins. Now the rest of the short story.
