Labor Day weekend and trapshooting is a great combination. Nine shooters showed up today and all attending had a great time on the first day of dove season.
JC Nunn broke the 1st 25 in singles right off the bat and he was on fire. Charlie Rinehart put together back to back 24's but Lane Murray ran 49 before watching #50 sail to the terra firma.
Caps were next and two of the race horses were on my squad. Lane broke a solid 45 with Charlie slipping a bit and breaking a 39. JC was the closest to get it done and wound up with a 44.
Anyway - Lane won the event with a 94 and 86 year old JC "Ramrod" Nunn was the next closest with a 90.
Norman Parrish and Charlie tied for the 2nd Lewis as you can see from the picture above.
We had a great hotdog lunch and chocolate cake and some guys stayed around to shoot a bit on such a beautiful day!
