A nice crowd(30 shooters) showed up to shoot on a beautiful day in the Sandhills. Charlie Brown drove all the way from PA to lead all shooters with a 100 in Singles. Jim Wilson was nipping at his heels with a 99( it's always that one bird). Then Jim Wilson and John Woolsey finshed with 94's in Caps with John earning a well deserved 1/2 yard of real estate and Jim a honary punch. Jim won the daily 50 and came within 1 bird of winning the mid 50 pot which is at about $1300.00. I think he dropped the 4th bird on his first post on the third field, better luck next time "Mr. Wilson". Greg High woke up in time for Doubles and a pair of 49's and a 98 for high gun in Doubles. Larry High, Charlie Brown and Jim Wilson all finished with 96's, I guess it's not always one bird after all. Congratulations to Addison Callan who had a nice 93 in doubles to win SJr. Thanks again to all that helped to put on this shoot. A special thanks to George Brown for providing Lunch, those ham and beans, cole slaw and cornbread really hit the spot. My wife was not as thankful as I was however. The Banana ice cream and Oreo ice cream disappeared and all I took home was the containers. I'm thinking that maybe ice cream season might be over. I'm looking for some cooler weather next month.
