Buckhorn Shoot Report

Post by smokem »

Buckhorn hosted a two-day trapshoot last weekend and folks came out of the woodwork for this event. Mark Isner rolled out of the hills of West Virginia to partake of some lead distribution. We had a flurry of VA shooters that got their name on the leader board and of course there were the home boys.

The weather cooperated for the most part for both days. Saturday afternoon the weather got a bit ugly for the 2nd trap of doubles. Greg and Jim both had 49’s on the first box and then the wheel she done ran off. Hey guys the last time I checked it is March and wind happens..

This is a bunch of typing but the thing that motivates me is knowing that Dan Johnson is laying it wait to publish his comments regarding his old shooting buddy James Wilson.

Ok – looks like little Sub Junior Chase Reese broke his first 50 straight in singles Saturday on his way to a 189. All in all scores were good and everybody had a GREAT time for sure.

Range General Jimmy Wilson and the Buckhorn faithful would like to say thanks to everybody that came to shoot and to all that pitched in to help.

Two shoots this weekend with Old Hickory @ Rocky Mount hosting a Saturday shoot and Rockingham Gun Club hosting a two day shoot. Typical 300 target program at OH and the Rock..

Also I was glad to see Mark Lane out shooting and we wish him the best. It has been quite a long time since we got to see the Lane boys and hope to shoot with them real soon..

RE: Buckhorn Shoot Report

Post by straightaway »

Well now there seems to be some disagreement as to who is responsible for the pathetically slow reporting of scores from the Buckhorn shooting facility. Mr. Wilson claims that he forwards the information to Mr. Redmon at the end of the day each and every time. Mr. Redmon claims that James is often tardy and neglectful in his reporting duties. It doesn't matter who is at fault. Get it straightened out or you may find someone opening a can of good ol' Yankee Whoop Ass on ya! It's been done before!!!

Now, c'mon Jim 381? Is that all you got?? That ain't even in the hunt. No wonder Tommy (the chicken) Brown is kicking your butt in the points race. Probably got ya on average as well..................and Boy George hasn't even started yet! Is he a vet yet?

Now, the heart of the season is about to begin so get with the program!!!

Have a Great Day! Dan
