Charlie Brown Scores - 4/1/2012

Ike Branthwaite, Marty Hill and Tommy Brown led all shooters at the April 1st trapshoot at the Charlie Brown Gun Club. The weather was great and the visiblity was a little tough for some of the shooters. A great crowd attended with 31 singles, 29 handicap and 15 doubles shooters vying for the top honors.
Ike Branthwaite led all singles shooters with a strong 98 and we are glad he is shooting well. I know that a good while back he had some eye surgery and had some tough times getting dialed back in but you gotta give it to him for hanging in there!
Marty "Intermediate" Hill - sounds like a ski jump doesn't it. Marty broke a 97 from the 22 and got a yard back after the ATA concrete yardsale. I am tickled to see him shooting good and I know he will be moving on back to the 27 real soon!
Tommy Brown outgunned all doubles shooters and won the event with a 91. Greg High had a 47 on his first 50 and then he experienced some difficulties and wound up with a 40 on the second trap.
Not sure who captured the HOA and we will try to get that tidbit of info real soon. Jimmy Wilson commented that there were about 7 or 8 youth shooters attending and some hailed from the Virginia commonwealth.
Charlie would like to thank everybody that pitched in to help score, load, cashier and to all that attended the event. I Fred Redmon appreciate the effort that the trap community provided to allow folks to shoot at one of the best clubs in the state!
