Hurricane Hanna cleared up the atmosphere Saturday preparing the way for a great day of shooting Sunday! 17 shooters descended on the Rockingham Gun Club for some intense competition.
Singles - There were seven 49's in the singles including Don Kaufman, Charlie Rinehart, Lonnie Campbell, Gary Daniels, Winky Mabe, Freddy Redmon and the tailgunner JC Nunn.
Handicap - One true "Long Yard" shooter would emerge out of all the paticipants. Charlie Rinehart broke back to back 24's from the 26 yard line and when tacked onto his 49 created the winning score of 97!
Honorable mention goes to Gary Daniels who sported a 95 today and Don "Nomad" Kaufman with a strong 95 also.
Charlie took the top spot 97 - Wnky Mabe & Freddy Redmon hit the next Lewis with 90's and Lewis Wyatt brought up the rear with an 86.
A good number of door prizes were given out and they were much appreciated for sure! Even "Gator Tears" were given out in the drawing.
Thanks to JT Brewer, Don Krites, Winky Mabe, Lane Murray, Tom Cox and everybody else that lent a hand today!
Next Lewis Class Shoot is October 5th and do not forget the registered trapshoot this upcoming Saturday the 13th!
