We had great weather, conversations and target busting exhibitions at DCWC this Sunday during our Phil Davis Marathon singles shoot. Thanks again to all who were able to come by. We had a total of 28 shooters and it was great to spend some time with one of NCTHOF inductees - P.E. Davis. Mr. Davis was there with his son Phil who is approaching the 100,000 singles target plateau and we were honored to be part of Phil's home stretch run to the mark. If all goes well, Phil will reach 100,000 singles at next month's Hall of Fame shoot in Bostic. Another treat was to see Tom Brown shooting some registered targets again. While Tom's frequency at trap shoots has not been what it used to be, it doesn't look like he lost anything. That new Kolar of his is smashing targets as hard as you can imagine with scores of 100,95,100 & 98 for the 400 singles he shot.

The social committee at DCWC (chaired by Damon Coe) did a superb job with the food as usuall. We are truly grateful for all of Damon's group efforts on our behalf. Especially on this Sunday since the day before Damon's gang provided food for over 100 people who attended the Family Camp open house at DCWC where 75 attendees (mostly youth and ladies) got a chance to see what the target sports are all about. The N & O sent a reporter and photographer to the event and we should see something in this Thursday's edition - Sports section.
