It was a nice but hot day for trap at Coharie. We had a small but congenial crowd and a great lunch. Junior shooter Brandon Matthews continues to overpower the field of us “older more experienced shooters.” He shot 90 in singles, 98 in handicap earning a yard punch, and 92 in doubles tying Al Williams for champ. He ran away with HOA. He is really a class act. In doubles he and Al Williams were neck and neck and he called one of Al’s targets “dead” that the ref called lost.
Singles…9 shooters.
Champs…George Brown, Danny Lloyd and Brian West tied with 95. They did not flip or shootoff.
