December 25th Smoke Report
Posted: Sun Dec 24, 2017 11:02 pm
Merry Christmas to all and I hope you got everything you asked Santa for. The weather looks a little nippy this week and a chance for the white stuff a little later in the week. LCP shot their BIG50 and monthly shoot last week. The BIG50 shoot report has been posted. Two shoots this week with LCP’s BIG50 and Buckhorns shoot the 31st. Here is the link to the 2018 calendar…..http://nctrap.com/shoots2017.pdf
Jimmy Wilson had knee replacement surgery and it looks like all went well. He took a picture and sent it to me threatening me with my life if I published it. The caption says I can do something you can’t do and that is being able to touch my knees together. Sure enough it was a picture of his knees touching together. He will be at the club this weekend and will be conducting a show and tell.
Bill Howe – Jim Daughtridge and Ken Rhyne – The Miller 2005
I got info that Ken Rhyne had passed unexpectedly on the 17th and I have no other details. Gary Hicks sent me the obit and I have published it in “Finished Careers” on the website. Ken was an interesting person and tweaked on all kinds of stuff including Kolar double-release triggers – just ask Dan Johnson. He loved to camp and hauled a bunch of dogs over the years to the gun clubs. He also manufactured a wood add on rib for his Kolar and later on he created one for a 20-gauge Model 12 that he shot trap with. Years ago, his shop burnt up and he dropped off the shooting scene. He stopped shooting in 2011 and registered his last birds at Old Hickory at Bostic. 50525 singles – 47475 handicap and 51700 doubles were registered by ATA #9915776 – Mash on this link for a few more glimpses at Ken “Lindy” Rhyne. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/smokem/ ... yne?sort=3
Also Randy Moeller posted on Facebook that his mother Janet "Jan" Moeller passed on the 23rd and she was 80 years young. Our prayers go out to him and his family during this time of grief. Randy worked for Remington and was known to carry his cell phone to the line and would actually answer it while shooting. His squad really enjoyed those types of challenges. Here is the link to her obituary information - http://www.danielfuneralhome.com/obitua ... ller-3763/
Please continue to pray for Jan Schultz, Lewis Wyatt, JT Brewer and of course Jimmy Wilson. I hope everybody has a great Christmas Day and looking forward to the New Year…. I guess I will continue to publish the smoke report and I sure do appreciate all the help with the site. Those of you that post shoot programs and shoot results it is appreciated.
Hello to Lou, Hap, Scott and Cousin Ronnie and until next week………………Smokem
