The day started out with a lite rain, but a hint of clearing weather was seen in the distant mountains. When shooting time came around, shooting conditions were just right and the birds started flying. We were told that this was the biggest shoot that Charlie and Lillian Smith has held in the 14 years that they have been holding shoots here at Bostic. A total of 50 entries (singles 20, handicap 19, doubles 11). Congratulations to Jef Solomon for his 1st 100 and to Jason Kloninger gaining ½ yard.
Phillip Putman shot a total of 273. Phillip says that he is King of Gastonia!
Can he and will he ever be dethroned???? It sounds like something is going on with the Gastonia gang. I guess on there shoot coming up in February, we will find out if there will be an uprising of the people to get a new King. That’s all from OHR&P Cub Bostic, NC.
