Can you believe it June is here and so is the North Carolina State Trapshoot. Not much is going on other than the upcoming state shoot and knowing that the weather is going to be great! Yep, look it up, it looks like the weather will be close to perfect for the event.
Several events including the US Open at Sparta and the Alabama State Shoot. The scores for the Open can be found at https://scores.shootata/shoot - The scores for the Alabama State Shoot can be found at www.SHOOTSCOREBOARD.COM
Big shout out to South Carolina shooter Garry Welch and his open handicap win at the Alabama State Shoot. He broke a 97 and he looked tickled to death holding that great trophy. He is shooting a Kolar and shooting it well looks like. Garry is also the admin for Palmetto Trap on Facebook so go check it out.
Keep John Sandell and Tommy Brown in your prayers. John is going through some therapy for his condition and Tommy will have a procedure on the 4th. Ronnie Manuel is on the mend, and I will try to call him this week to see how he is doing.
Did I mention great weather for the state shoot? Wednesday/Thursday there is a chance of rain and then a cold front will move through. Lows in the 60’s and highs in the low 80’s. That always helps folks decide to go to a shoot. Singles Saturday it looks like about 160+/- on www.presquad.com
Ok that is about it for this week, and I hope to see some of you in a few days. Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Will, Thea and Anne until next week……..smokem
