Good morning and another Veterans Day to celebrate and a big thanks to all that served. Hopefully you have the day off and can maybe get out and eat a free meal that some chain restaurants offer. CCLEOA and Buckhorn shot and no report from CCLEOA at this time.

A combined effort to raise funds for western North Carolina produced a great event and it was well attended. The Watauga Wing Fling and Buckhorn Toys for Tots was hosted by BGC and over 40 shooters competed in two 100 bird events. Caleb Mathis won the singles with the lone 100 and the handicap with a 93.

Buckhorn ran all 4 traps, and all shooting was over by 3PM. Chicken wings were donated and cooked by John Waters and all the other fixins were donated by the Milers and Jeri Wilson. Believe me everyone got their belly full and that was a good thing. The weather cooperated with no rain and minimal winds under cloudy skies. Jimmy Wilson would like to thank all that attended and to all that pitched in and helped. Money was donated in lieu of toys and $5,350 was raised and given to Jason Dancy that will be donated to a Western NC Church to make some children’s lives a little brighter this holiday season.

The next shooting event will be at Ft. Liberty on November 23rd. Typical 300 target program and I hope you will be able to make it.

That is about it for this week and hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Will, Mark, Barron, Thea and Anne and until next week……smokem
