November 18th Smoke Report

Another great weather weekend in North Carolina and no trapshoots to report. Thursday was cold and rainy and just a taste for what is to come this winter.
CCLEOA shot the 8th, and Billy Soper won the singles, doubles and the HOA. Doyle Thigpen managed to win the handicap. They will be scheduling more BIG50 shoots in 2025.
Ft. “Bragg” Liberty will shoot this Saturday, and the weather looks great with temps in the low 60’s and wind WNW @ 10-15mph. Always a good time with NCTA Prez Marty Hill running the shoot and a good time to get some winter birds registered in the NC sandhills.
There is a little buzz going around about the Euro clay target that Bob Schultz is selling. With Winchester owning WF the word is target prices are going up and not sure when. One club I keep in contact with says they are $2 a case cheaper if bought by the truckload which is I guess 22+/- pallets. It might be worth testing them out to see how they hold up in the PAT traps. I did see some feedback on facebook and one club said they might use them for day shooting but for trap and skeet registered events they will use WF.
Looks like that will do it for this week. The first Saturday of December the Brushy Mountain Gun Club will shoot and possibly Spartanburg SC if you are looking for birds.
Have a great week everybody and hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Will, Mark, Art, Thea and Anne and until next week…..smokem
