Greetings from Jamestown NC and I hope everyone had a great weekend. No shoots to report over the weekend and we had three NC shooters at the Northeastern Grand in Cicero New York.

Dan Johnson let me know that Tiffany Decker, Brad Barnett and Larry High attended the NE Grand in Ciero New York. Looks like about 216 entries for the singles on Saturday. Brad and Tiffany brought a few trophies home and congrats on some good shooting! Check all the scores out at https://shootscorebard.com

The Rockingham Gun Club will host a typical 300 target program this Saturday. The annual “Memorial” shoot will offer some added monies for the hi-gun winners in 16’s, caps, dubs and HOA. $100 will be awarded for each event to honor Elmo Matkins, Lewis Wyatt, JC Nunn and Roger Shaffer. Registration at 9 and shooting will begin on or before 10AM.

The Georgia State Trapshooting organization held their Hall of Fame shoot Saturday. It was well attended and the newest inductee into the GAHOF is none other than Ethan Ledford. At 21 years young he might be the youngest to ever be inducted. I have included the link to his HOF writeup, and it is quite impressive. His dad was unable to attend due to having to undergo some procedures at the hospital. Please keep Andrew Ledford in your prayers! https://www.gatrap.com/hall-of-fame/ethan-ledford

Mac Herring reached out to me looking for BT-99’s and wound up finding four locally after all. His friend bought two of the four guns and maybe we will see one of those in action at an ATA sanctioned event. It would be great to get Mac to host at least one “Annua” shoot at Coharie. Maybe a BIG50 just to allow folks to enjoy one of my favorite two-trap gun clubs. I would be willing to donate my time and ref all day on one of the fields just to see that happen. Maybe Marty could run it (as if he doesn’t have enough to do anyway) and just let Mac get out and shoot and enjoy the reason the gun club was built…..

It is 9:45 Sunday evening and I just checked to see if the tarheeltrap website was back online. Dan Johnson had alerted me to the fact that it was unreachable earlier in the day. I believe Dan has another installment in Tall Tales & True Stories to share so check it out. Also, thanks to Justin for taking the time to check it out.

Well, March 6th Facebook put me in Facebook jail for 6 months. March – April – May – June – July – August has gone by and maybe 180 days has passed since the incarceration. I have not checked to see if I can get my access back and actually thinking I might just leave it be. At least on this site I can say what I want to say without the fear of a truthful statement or opinion being censored.

That will do it for this week. Some of you got to meet my granddaughter Taylor when she shot a few ATA tournaments and the SCTP shoots at RCGC. Well, she is getting married next Saturday and maybe after all the plotting and planning is over, she can get out and shoot a bit and her new husband shoots also.

Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, John, Art, Barron, Mark C, Mark S, Dan, John W, Thea and Anne and until next week……smokem
