BGC - May 23rd & 24th
Posted: Mon May 25, 2009 3:18 pm
We had two beautiful days to shoot. The windmill barely stirred either day, which is unbelievable.
On Saturday in the Singles, we had two knotheads knotted up with 100's with "Cindy Lou Hoo" coming out on top. Gail Page broke her personal best of 96 in Singles. We had some good scores in the Caps with Harold Newby (VA) leading the way with a 98 & a 1 yd punch. In doubles, Jon Lederer broke a 98 in the second 100 for his personal best.
On Sunday we had some serious problems. A major fight broke out over Marty Hill's homemade ice cream. The first batch was gone before he could walk from the front door to the kitchen. The second batch didn't even make it inside. Marty's ice cream puts Ben & Jerry's to shame.
Morris Carroll led the way in the first Caps with a 96 & a half yard punch. In the Singles we had two 99's with Bobby Page winning the flip. In the sedond Cap's Garth Sweredoski & Charlie Ackroyd tied with 94's.
Many thanks go out to all that helped us with scoring, loading, cleaning up & everything else it takes to run a successful shoot.
