Friday started out a little gloomy with bouts of sunny skies. It was muggy most of the day with some gentle breezes later in the day.
One thing not expected was the thousands of tiny flea like bugs that loved light colored shirts. Not only did they attach to every square inch of your body they also loved bright colored shooting glass lenses.
Doubles were first with Jimmy Wilson and Bob Schultz breaking 99's. Jimmy called a chip on one of Bob's birds and that was the right thing to do.
Singles I believe was won by Dennis Taylor with the lone 100. Cody told Dennis that he "was the MAN" at the dinner and Dennis stated that he knew that all along.
Last but not least - Tommy "Seitz" Brown won the caps with the lone 97. He dropped 3 on the 1st trap and ran the last 75.

Shooters awoke to the sound of rain this morning and it rained off and on all day! Low light conditions prevailed and some (including) me opted to watch the festivities from the porch.
Rick German posted the lone 199 for the singles champ with Darvin Cornett and Jimmy Wilson flipping (Dan won't like that) for AA. I am not sure of all the other winners except for Tom Pitts winning Class B with a 193 after missing 3 on the last trap - sounds fishy to me? Marty Hill told Tom that if he came to Ft. BrAAgg he will be shooting in a higher class!
We will try to get more info tonight at the banquet!
Shooters awoke to foggy cool conditions Sunday morning and then things got much better!
Local David Whittemore topped all doubles shooters with a solid 98 shooting a gasgun. Handicap found Henry McGinnis and VA shooter Jim Dodson knotted up with 95's with Jim breaking one more than Henry in the extra round.
Jim Dotson took Open HOA and Jimmy Wilson will have a "diamond" added to his HOF ring.
The weather was beautiful and I have pictures to prove it. The black bugs returned when the sun came out and I have pictures to prove that also. The wind started whipping around about midway through the caps and was really tricky during the shootoffs.
Tom Pitts won his "B" Class doubles shootoff after taking a solid butt whipping in the handicap by running buddy Tom "short yarder" Shelley.
Ever young Connie Bell won her shootoff over Donna Cornett shooting her newly purchased KX-5. She actually let me take a picture of her and yes the wind was blowing her hair.
