Hot?

Hot? Lonnie Campbell is on fire and at last report will require fire department tanker trucks on standby while he is shooting.

If you don't know the story here it is in a nutshell. Lonnie came on the scene several months back and started shooting at the Rockingham GC.

He shot in some fun shoots and then I think he joined the ATA. Of course he had a buddy that he shot with a Mr. Martin Carter who is a great shot also. These fellows hang out together at times and hunt and fish together and of course work together also.

Both of these fellows have natural talent when it comes to shooting and they not only compete against each other they compete against the field. I believe Lonnie got his first punch in caps at the Buckhorn GC.

We advised Mr. Campbell to try to get enough targets registered so that he wouldn't have to shoot penalty at the State Shoot. Well, he didn't have enough and wouldn't you know it he got a punch on Sunday for an impressive 96 from the "25 YARD LINE". He also stepped to the line by himself to shootoff for #3 and got-r-done.

Also, Mr. Campbell broke his first 100 straight in singles the day before and followed that with a solid 96 and was only one bird off the "A" Class shootoff with John Lederer and Doug McKinney.

Hey we like to see folks shoot well and we really appreciate his attitude! So, hats off to the new kid on the block and we wish him the best! As for Martin Carter we got to get him back out on the range real soon!

I believe that life is short and you need to shoot while you can see them! :D
