Buckhorn Gun Club Shoot Report For April 10th & 11th

Post by smokem »

Two perfect weather days set the stage for some great scores being posted at the Buckhorn Gun Club April 10th & 11th, 2010. 700 program targets were offered over the weekend and folks from way out of NC came to enjoy them. Jon Reitz from Bolivar New York traveled all the way to Mebane just to shoot the two-day program. Even almost local VA native Charley Rinehart made it South across the border.

Saturday started out a little cool with the 200 singles event winding up in a tie between Tommy Brown and Richard Drake. James Wilson broke the high handicap score and missed 4 birds on his last trap. James Wilson also won the doubles and the only two targets he missed was because he so tickled that Jeri his lovely child bride was shooting doubles so good! Currently I do not have the info for the Saturday HOA winner.

Ok – that was a bunch of typing and we did it so that Dan would have something to read on Monday morning and Sweet Lou also.

Jimmy would like to thank everybody that attended and pitched in to help. Also to the out-of-state shooters that traveled a little farther to come out and play.

Do not forget that Coharie shoots the 17th and Ft. Bragg shoots the 18th.

Good reporting Fred. Glad to see that ol' slowpoker could get the info to you halfway soon enough........

Now I see what's going on. Tommy ruffed up James so bad on Saturday that the big sissy didn't shoot Sunday. Or did he? Did he have another one of his sub 270 scores that he's so proud of? I can't imagine why else he'd let "the chicken" whip him in his own yard......

I told you guys a couple years ago to watch out for that Lederer kid. He'll stomp a mud hole in you pretty soon if you don't get with the program

Good to see Greg can still put a "9" in front of a score once in a while. He's a vet isn't he?

BTW where were the Boone boys? They afraid to shoot with the lowlifers? errrrr, I mean the lowlanders.

All y'all have a great day! Dan
