2010 South Carolina State Shoot (Jim and Addison Callan)
Posted: Tue May 18, 2010 7:32 pm
Addison and Jim Callan made it down to the 2010 South Carolina State Shoot. This was our first SC State shoot and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and running into a ton of NC shooters who made the trip as well.
Performance-wise I only came close to a tie for short yardage one day with a 91 (those that tied shot a 92). Addison's goal was the Open Sub Junior Singles Championship trophy, which he won on Saturday with a 192. Additionally, due to an obscure ATA rule that permits a Sub Junior to take Junior trophies when no Sub Junior trophy is offered and the Sub Junior out-shoots all the Juniors Addison was able to take home the Open Class Doubles Junior trophy as well as the Open Junior Doubles Championship trophy.
There were many other NC shooters that did quite well. Jeff Galloway took the Singles AA Class Championship in a very exciting shoot off (see photos below). I took lots of photos during our trip. As most of you know, Addison and I squad together so nearly all of the photos are of other NC shooters.
Enjoy.
