October 21st Smoke Report

Post by smokem »

Good morning folks and I hope you had a great weekend. Not much happening on the shooting scene in North Carolina this weekend. It looks like no registered shoots this weekend in North Carolina so maybe a good time to practice.

Hog Heaven hosted their Mountain Days shoot, and some great scores were broken on the top of that mountain. Michael Barnett won the singles on Saturday with the lone 199 with 114 stepping to the line. No NC shooters attended the event and no info up on shootscoreboard.com.

I spent last week at the NC coast in and around Avon. We had great weather for the most part and caught a few fish on 44 and 55. I ran into Barron and Leesa Church and the family fishing and at a local restaurant. He had told me a few weeks ago that his grandson Caleb had received his document for achieving AA27AA. That is quite an accomplishment and congratulations from TarHeelTrap.

The next registered shoot in NC is at the Rocky Mount Gun Club on the 27th. Brushy Mountain VA shoots the first Saturday of the month and not sure about Spartanburg. There are only two shoots in November at Buckhorn and Ft. Liberty and a BIG50 at CCLEOA.

So that is about it for this week and we are headed for the holiday season. You never know when an impromptu shoot will popup if the weather cooperates. Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, Will, John, Thea and Anne and until next week……..smokem
