Snow has fallen in a few areas in North Carolina for your Monday morning. NC 52 near Pilot Mountain was a nightmare from what is viewed posted on facebook Sunday night. Be careful out there and hopefully you can stay home today.
Brushy Mountain cancelled their shoot, Spartanburg moved their start time to 11 and Buckhorn shot but nobody posted the scores from Saturday. Hopefully we will be able to find some score info by next week.
Rockingham County Gun Club’s president lost his wife last week after complications from a heart attack. Clem Ellis works tirelessly at the club and Linda’s sudden passing was a shock to the family. A gofundme has been created to help the family cover the expenses for the burial. If you care to donate that would be great and I know he would appreciate it.
Former NC shooter John Sandell is on his way South to Florida and is shooting some along the way. John stopped in Charlotte for a few rounds and to catch up with friends. Phil Murray heads the trap at the club and looking forward to chatting with him in the near future. John’s wife Grace is a good shot, and they shoot sporting clays and trap. Not sure where he is headed next and maybe to see Dave Daily in South Carolina.
February looks empty for shoots in North Carolina but Brushy Mountain and Spartanburg will shoot the first Saturday of February unless they cancel due to inclement weather. Hopefully the NCTA calendar will be fully updated to include all events in the near future.
That is going to do it for this week. Not sure how long this white stuff will stick around but at least we aren’t in the Midwest. Hello to Scott, Ronnie, Cowboy, Tim, Bobby, Phil, Mac, Will, John, Art, Mark, Thea and Anne and until next week…….smokem
