Watauga 09 "Wing Fling"

Watauga Gun Club
November 7, 2009

Well for the first weekend of November, this had to be one of the best. Saturday after the frost burnt off and left the trap fields it turned into one great day for trap shooting.

The Waters boys came in with bags of chicken wings under one arm and a shotgun under the other. Yes this was the Wing Fling and as always one for the books. John Waters can fix some of the best chicken wings, I tried to get some pictures for Freddie and got sauce all in my camera. So you will just have to close your eyes and picture a table setting there with a large, really large, tray of the biggest ole chicken wings swimming in sauce poured right out of heaven. Then you add a tray of potato salad with a tray of bacon floating on a pool of the best bake beans. Then the ladies loaded the end of the table down with cookies and cakes. And you would just about have the correct image. Yes Watauga closes out another year on a great note, or should I say on a great wing.

Thanks to all that made it too the mountains this year for some shooting, and a special thanks to everyone that jumped in and helped out this year on the range.

And with that on to the scores:
